In 2003 I was working as a labor activist in New York City and saw the address “stopsweatshops.org” scrawled in thick black magic marker across an advertisement for athletic apparel by an infamous sweatshop abuser. I went back to the office and checked out the address, only to find that it didn’t exist- and what’s more, there was no evidence that it had ever existed. I’m not sure why I registered it exactly, just didn’t want it to end up in the hands of some spam-bot, I guess. So here it is, currently aggregating news and announcements from some of the organizations working hard in the struggle for social and economic justice. Hopefully they’ll get some extra traffic their way.
